History of my place
To
my knowledge and what I’ve heard the pond is manmade. Due to the lack of
information I have, the history of my pond is going to be based more off of my
history and less on the history and background. I’m not going to leave you completely
dry of the history as I still hold some knowledge dealing with the actual
history and background.
When
we moved to the house we live in now I was in third grade. Unaware of the
actual age of the pond I can assure you it’s at least 11 years old as that is
how long ago I discovered it. In addition to that, as I was talking to this man
I knew (Frank) and he informed me that when they were building the pond there
was a dirt bike jump coming out of it. The fun he had jumping the pond, from
what I could tell, happened at least 4 years prior to the conversation I had
with Frank 10 years ago.
As for the “My History” part of this project I can provide you with sufficient information to explain why it’s important to me.

I
stated earlier that I moved into my house in 3rd grade, and you
received a brief explanation of the actual history. Unfortunately you’re
unaware of what makes this place special to me, so here we go. One day I got
adventurous and decided to ride my dirt bike back the dirt road next to my
house. I chugged on over to the road and continued on back this dirt road that
I was completely unfamiliar with. As I was getting farther along on this road
the trees started to get thicker and closer to the road. I thought to myself
“Is this just a dead end?” and was seconds away from turning around. It was then when I first discovered this random,
beautiful pond in the middle of a giant field that I now value so much.
