What you’re seeing here is what I saw when I first discovered the pond. Yes you’re able to relate this picture to the story and view it from my perspective, but unfortunately you’re unable to see the seconds leading up to this sight. Unaware of what I was going to see in this giant field I just discovered, curiosity set in. I started to venture off towards a part in the field where it looked as if it dropped off. It was then when I arrived at the edge of a peer, overlooking this pond and acres of fields. I had somewhat of a sensory overload, am I really seeing this? It was a miraculous sight that I am truly grateful for.

It’s not so much what you’re not seeing, but rather what you’re not feeling. The sky all the minutes prior to me snapping this picture and the sun slowly setting. Mosquitos and flies floating above the water setting the mood for a fun time of fishing. The bass preying on insects from below, jumping completely out of the water and swallowing whatever was caught in its mouth coming up and then hitting the water with a loud “SMACK!” Hundreds of screaming crickets combining together thus serving as relaxing background music. It sounds like a great atmosphere, right?

Right where that arrow is almost locates exactly where I retrieved my fishing lure. Looking at the picture it’s difficult to see how far out that is, luckily I know a guy that has been there before. At that point it’s roughly 20 feet out from shore and way out of reach if you plan on staying dry. In addition to that the pond is relatively shallow at about 5 feet deep. On this hot day I was able to get a refreshing dip in the water, a little bit of exercise from swimming, and a reward at the end; my fishing lure.
Sorry you can't see the arrow, due to the confusion on how to insert an arrow on blogger was beyond me.
